
The following list are suggestions for when looking to purchase fitness equipment for training at home. This is a minimalistic list and should be adjusted as per your fitness level, goals, space and budget. There are many exercises that can be done with no equipment, but the following list increases the number of options available.
Dumbbells (Minimums. Obviously more is better if possible and adjust for your strength level):
>Fit Male – 1 pair each – #15, #25, #50
>Fit Female – 1 pair each – #10, #15, #30
>Beginner – 1 pair each – #5, #10, #15, #20
Kettlebells (Minimums. Obviously more is better if possible and adjust for your strength level):
>Fit Male – 12kg, 20kg, 28kg
>Fit Female– 8kg, 12kg, 20kg
>Beginner – 4kg, 8kg, 16kg
Foam Roller – One Foot Full Round Roller for self-massage/soft tissue work
Tennis Ball – Can be used self-massage/soft tissue work as well as certain exercises
Bands:
>First Place Mini-Bands (Yellow, Green or Blue)
>Gray Cook Band (Level 1 or 2)
>First Place Superbands (1/4” or 1/2”)
Dowel – 3-4ft. long broom handle or around 1-2” PVC
Half Round Foam Roller – For balance and mobility drills
Jump Rope – If space and surface at home allows
Sizing – 4’9”-5’3” – 8ft. / 5’4”-5’9” – 9ft. / 5’10-6’5” – 10ft.
Indian Clubs (2lbs) – Lightweight and compact and great for training power and speed
