This post is by far my most personal to date so don’t expect to learn much about the technicalities of fixing shoulder mobility or analyzing athletic body positions in this one. Also expect to come across way more curses than usual, so if you’re easily offended, please hit the “back” button and check out a different post. I’m going to let my Jersey out a little on this one…
Tomorrow is my birthday and this year I’ll turn 46. I’m already anticipating already what I’m going to hear:
As I tell my friends, “on the day I die, I will have pressed, squatted or deadlifted that day.”
I have to be able to walk into a weight room with grown men in their prime and command their respect and attention and that is much tougher if I can’t walk the talk.
That’s me hanging on to my youth.”
As I tell the guys I train, “if you want to be a big boy, you need to do big boy things.”
